Quotes to Consider:

John Calvin: "Whatever ability a faithful Christian may possess, he ought to possess it for his fellow believers, and he ought to make his interests subservient to the well-being of the church in all sincerity."

Announcements (subject to God’s will):

We welcome Stephen Rushton from Bradford, England, to our worship services.

The July Covenant Reformed News is available on the book table in the foyer.

We rejoice with the Hallidays in the birth of a baby girl, Rebekah Faith, on Saturday, 24 July, at 4:33 PM. May the Lord be with them as they raise her in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

The second offering this morning is for our building fund.

Mr. Callender has been moved to the Elliot-Dynes building of the Royal Victoria Hospital. Let us continue to remember our brother and his family in our prayers and, if possible, stop at the hospital for a visit.

Thanks to all who helped clean the building and get it ready for the ordination service of Rev. McGeown, and those who organized, brought and/or served the food and drinks afterwards.

Tommy Hamill has been appointed caretaker for our new building with Philip Hall as assistant caretaker.

Ladies who can help out in the kitchen, please meet in the Bible study room after this evening’s service.

The Council will meet Monday, 2 August, at 7 PM in the new church building.

Anganeta Dyck moves here from Germany this Wednesday. She will be staying with the Crossetts initially and going to the BRF Conference.

Our church dedication service is this Thursday, 5 August, at 7:00 PM beginning with the tape-cutting ceremony.

The BRF Conference near Cardiff, S. Wales, starts this Saturday. We pray for safe travel for those who are attending the conference. Elder Brian Crossett will lead the worship services next Lord’s Day.

The Reformed Witness Hour next Lord’s Day (8:30-9:00 AM, on Gospel 846MW) is entitled "The Creation" (Psalm 19:1-6).

Offerings: General Fund: £619.12. Donations: £500 (DVDs), £100 (books), £45 (DVDs). Friday night’s offering for books and pamphlets for Limerick: £418.90.

Website Addition: The Italian edition of the June CR News was added.

The Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Australia met in Presbytery a week ago. At this three-day meeting Dr. David Torlach was examined and he successfully sustained his examination. He is now licensed and eligible to receive a call from one of their churches.

Encouraging Quotes:

"Thank you again for your faithfulness in keeping me in touch with the life of the CPRC and the exciting developments not only in the way the building is nearing completion but also with Limerick being soon supplied with Brother McGeown’s ministering to them and the outreach across the world which has grown from such a small and humble beginning in Northern Ireland. What a wonderful blessing all this has been and continues to be for the Lord’s people. The glorious rider on the White Horse is surely conquering His people through the Word and Spirit, while Satan and the wicked world seeks ever more ferociously to kill the Church of Christ—yet simply fulfilling His eternal purpose: to bring about the truth of His power and glory by way of their unbelief which will show forth His eternal wrath against them. All praise and honour unto the Lord our King and our God!" - New Zealand

"We pray that all is well and wish you every blessing for Martyn’s ordination and also the dedication of the new church building ..." - Co. Londonderry

"So pleased to see your soon coming ribbon cutting. Wish we could be there to celebrate and worship with you." - Ohio, USA

"With great joy I’ve kept track of the developments of the new church building on Facebook! It’s great to see that it is finished now and also great to see the video on YouTube in the new church building. I’m glad that you all were able to have the ordination service at the new place (and also seemed to have had nice fellowship afterwards) ... I’ll keep the CPRC in my prayers!" - Germany

"Congratulations to you and the congregation [on your new building]. May the work and the Word be blessed." - S. Africa

"Many thanks for the Hoeksema volume on Isaiah [Redeemed With Judgment] received safely with ‘Ruth.’ We are most impressed with the efficiency and speed of despatch ..." - Wrexham, England

"I like the article on your website concerning the false prophet, Harold Camping, by Martyn McGeown. I would like to direct people to this article from our website if possible ..." - USA

"The series of sermons on ‘The Tongue’ that I received from you recently was very challenging and, therefore, really edifying. I really needed that challenge—need it regularly, in fact." - W. Yorkshire, England

"Thank you for your encouraging messages [on 'Learning Contentment'] that I have had the privilege of listening to today. At the moment I am recovering from major surgery ... God is indeed gracious and close. Thank you once again and may God continue to bless you richly personally and in your ministry." - Victoria, Australia

"I listened to the four sermons on CD on ‘Stephen, the First Christian Martyr’ today. It is very good teaching, strong meat and not just milk. I want to listen to more." - Co. Antrim

"I enjoyed listening to this sermon [‘The Ultimate Theodicy’ from Romans 9:19-24] last night from your website. I really liked your comment concerning the vehement objection to God’s sovereignty by the man who asks, ‘Why does God still find fault, for who can resist His will?’" - Georgia, USA

"The series of sermons on Romans 11 have been a source of great joy to me." - W. Midlands, England

"Many thanks for the book, DVDs, etc., and particularly for your kindness in arranging a subscription to the Standard Bearer for one year ... I have read with great interest the booklet ‘The Gift of Assurance’—that it is a gift as is faith, I thank God." - Wolverhampton, England

"I gave all the sermons I downloaded to a friend at work. He mentioned that sometimes his church gave poor sermons, so I couldn’t resist sharing the CPRC sermon library I had ... I have more time for sermons so am going through those in the morning hours before work after my Bible reading. Greetings to the church and hope the BRF Conference preparations are going well." - Ghana

"I just want to thank you for your website and the great work you are doing. Your debate against Arminianism was solid and greatly beneficial; my wife and I listen to it often. I also am greatly blessed from your sermons. I have never heard this strong Calvinism. I am profiting from your teachings; they have helped me in connecting answers to theological questions I have wrestled with. Can you please send me info on how to order your material (CDs or DVDs)?" - USA

"Thank you for the book sent. That’s a very useful booklet ‘Reformed Evangelism & the Sunday Evening Gospel Service.’ I just finished reading Engelsma’s Trinity and Covenant—it is superb, excellent stuff. Lord willing I’ll see you at the BRF conference ..." - Staffordshire, England
