Rev. James Slopsema: "The salvation we have in Jesus Christ does not automatically work itself out into a life of obedience. We are not puppets on a string that God manipulates externally. For that reason our salvation works itself out into our lives only in as much as we consciously and deliberately live in the power of that salvation. One may be born with a gift for music. At the CPRC Annual General Meeting this past Monday, the proposal to purchase the manse from the PRC was approved.
Family Visitation starts tomorrow, 21 May. The schedule is on the back of this bulletin. Please try to make the dates and times work as much as possible. Contact Rev. Stewart or one of the elders if you need to reschedule.
Our Tuesday morning Bible study meets at 11 AM on "Eschatology and Time." We will discuss the eschatology of Acts 3. Now that the Wednesday night class is finished for the year because of family visitation, those who are able may want to consider coming on Tuesday morning.
